Drive, Dinner, Chat and Soccer

These things are itself entertaining. If you are enjoying it with friends then joy is multiplied. So, we take a chance to have all these thing to-gather.

To go unplanned was the plan, so we choose Ahmedabad highway for the drive. A drive from my home to India Palace was ornamented by a small stop on the highway. It was almost full moon night. I once or twice experienced to walk on highway in dark night. So it doesn’t matter moon or no moon, to be on highway at night for sometime is a worth repeating experience.

I like dinner-session more than dinner itself. As Parimal said, sometime we like food on highway is more a psychological matter then its taste (Haas baitka nathi khava ma!). It was probably true for the dinner we had.

Chatting with friends is very good thing to do if you don't have anything special to offer to friends. I think with a close friends only you can chat on variety of topics like movie, sports, history, celebrity, personal belief and all in almost single chat session and one after another.

I am not a sport kind of person but I sometimes watch football games. And to watch a football match upto half time, by connecting laptop to LED, on some live streaming website is again I found different. Though I think to watch football on live streaming website is not good idea, especially when you are not a football fan. :D

I was expecting it as a very good fun, but I do admit it wasn’t that much.
But never mind, next time I will bore you with some other kind of the thing. :D :D :D

Till then...read/fwd Rajnikant jokes.

The Fountainhead ....If....?

Once again I am back with my favorite blogging subject i.e. "Movie".

Recently I finished reading "The Fountainhead". Its a must read.

After reading, I was wondering why we haven't had a movie in Hindi based on this novel. As you know we are masters in cut-copy-paste in almost every aspect of film making.

To those who haven't read it.. I wouldn't give a summary/plot/idea of novel. Just take a look at my characterization from novel to our well known film stars and actors.

Please consider actors from 70's and to be precis around 1975 year.

1) Howard Roark:
- Hero. Who else? The Amitabh Bachchan. Tall, rebel, genius, ethical architect. Those who have seen "Trishul" can imagine easily this one except Our Hero is bound to his principals and is highly ethical. Mostly we have seen Amitabh as an angry young man whereas here our hero is brutally cold. Example in novel is, one of the rival of Howard named Toohey asked him something like "Tell me, what you are thinking of me?" And the answers is "I don't think of you."

2) Dominique:
- Heroin. Parveen Babi/Smita Patil. Unconventional Beauty with brain, one deadly combination. Some may come up with apprehension for Parween Babi as an intelligent actress. But she was indeed, its just the image she en cashed. Nothing to explain for Smita Patil. Dominique is again complex to explain and understand character. Just like Smita Patil's roll in "Arth". Dominique marry 3 times in a novel with totally different set of personalities as husband. Just to destroy.... Now read the novel what she want to destroy.

3) Gail Wynand
- Second lead. Pran. The media guy. Owner of several newspapers. Novel shows his journey from rags to riches. He is kind of person who knows "What should be done. but he himself prevent it. And what can not be done and he tries to accomplished it"

Now onwards I wont classified characters and that is actual essence of novel.

4) Toohey
- Amol Palekar/Sanjiv Kumar. Critic, for everything and for nothing. Very interesting character. Very soft spoken and mischievous. Sometimes with common-man's reflection in his character.

5) Peter Keating
- Faruk shekh/Shashi Kapoor. "Chance Pe Dance" architect. Totally opposite of Roark yet they were colleague and at certain point friends. Loves someone else but just for success marries someone else. After reading a book you will know whether Peter is Pawn or a Queen of chess laid in novel.

About its scripting only Salim-Javed can do it.

For its direction we have tie here i.e. Ramesh Sippy(Sholey, Sakti) and Yash Chopra (Deewar, Trishul). But either one can do the best.

But, these days are gone. So we can just imagine if this could happen that it will be surely a milestone movie in hindi film industry.

But but but... what can be the title of this movie? That is upto you...so reply. ( I had 2-3 in my mind but lets get it from you ...)

Hindi Movies: Which n why?

Dear all,

As you all know I started blogging and to continue it, I was looking for some easy subject to write on. And that's purely to make my self comfortable with self expression as well as blog.

I try to short-out my most likable movies and reasons behind it. I try to cover categorised favourite movie.

1) Sholay:
From logic, "Wo badmash hai magar bahadur hai. Khatarnak hai iss liye ke ladna jante hai. Bure hai magar insan hai." to philosophy "Sikke aur insan me shayad yahi fark hai." Sholay is never before never again movie. I cant count how many time I've seen "Sholay". I can almost speak each n every dialogue. My first ever book reading started with "Sholay-The making of classic" other than my study materials. I like from that book what Shekhar kapoor said "Indian film history can be divided into Sholay BC and Sholay AD".

Reasons:
1) Extra-ordinary dialogue, Outstanding performance and Technically superb
2) Quit fast script considering cinema of '70s
3) It covers almost each n every human emotions and relations.
4) Help-lessness of a individual and at the same time determination to take a revenge.

2) Deewar:
"Tum chahati ho main bhi muh chhupakar bhag jata?". A man's question to his mother in reference of injustice he suffer and comparing himself with his father. Real heroes of Deewar and Sholay are Salim-Javed. Nothing to say about this movie. Yash chopra's finest creation. Salim-Javed won a filmfare for its script. (Its an bad luck or irony that Sholay and Deewar both released in '75. Sholay won just one filmfare "Best editing" and for remaing awards major winners were Deewar and Aandhi in that year.)

Reasons:
1) Dark script and Intense dialogue and even power pack performances.
2) Amitabh Bachchan + Nirupa Roy
3) Amitabh Bachchan + Salim-Javed
4) Amitabh Bachchan

3) Dil Chahta Hai:
"Hum dost the, hai aur rahenge". One of the best movie describing a friendship. A friend's stand in one's life (When Saif was there with Aamir in Preity's marriage at time of proposal). And Aamir's SOS call to Aksay's house though by mistake when he was about to cry (even they departed with a dispute). I love to see this movie with my friends Kashyap, Amit and Parimal. We've seen this movie number of times. (BTW we call our selves WE4 and MTS).

Reasons:
1) Friends and Friendship presented in the move. (all most everybody can relate him/her self with this movie more or less)
2) Sense of humar among friends.
3) Very good music and songs

4) Legend of Bhagat Singh:
"Desh mere, Desh mere, meri jaan hai tu....". One of the best patriot movie I've seen. Very near to history. Though I haven't seen this movie more than couple of times but whenever I came know about its telecast during my channel surfing I watch it as much time and situation allow me to do so. When I saw this movie for the first time I literally feel the goose-bumps.

Reasons:
1) Splendid direction of Rajkumar Santoshi
2) Career best acting of Ajay Devgan till date (from my point of view)
3) Touchy song wordings and equally good music

5) Jane bhi do yaaro:
"Are ye mahabhart me akbar kaha se aa gaya?". Out of the box comic situations throughout movie. May be Priydarshan is inspired by its climax chaos. A unique movie, describing a common man's suffering by comic way.

Reasons:
1) Best sarcasm.
2) Realistic situations's presentation with nice sens of humor
3) Perfect comic timing of all the characters

6) Chocolate:
"Murtuza Arzai". One word throughout the movie hoax the audience. And at the end ??!!!!. I observed in theatre that at one or two point average viewer may loose patience or cant cope up with its script but I personally very much like this Deep Dark Chocolate. I think this is the first movie when I can't guess the suspect and/or upcoming moves of movie. And at the end I was delighted that I was totally wrong about my guesses.

Reasons:
1) Twist and turns of script.
2) Variation of pace in movie
3) I have one or two other reasons but better you should see this movie.

Just Started

hmm.. Well I create my blogger account by chance. I was searching, how to follow parimal's blog or subscription to his posts. But as usual I forget what I was looking for n created my account. And you know one more thing, without any particular thought i started even writing this very first blog. Strange? But not for me. I am used to such things. Sometimes I can act without a thought :) . I discover this ability of mine by playing chess with my friends Amit, Kashyap and parimal.

Well without any thought this much content is good enough. Will write again.
